Melissa Merritt (she/her) is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant originally from New York,
NY. Her love for animals, especially for cats, led her to pursue a career in veterinary
medicine. She is currently enrolled in Purdue University’s Veterinary Technician program
and is certified through VetBloom and Fear Free.
At CCPH, Melissa focuses on creating a calm, positive experience for every patient,
with a particular skill in handling nervous and anxious cats. She is an active member of
NAVTA and her school’s Feline VMA chapter.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys volunteering with Kitten Rescue: Los Angeles, reading
mysteries, continuing her education in animal care, and spending time with her nephew,
who shares her passion for cats.
